UCHealth Urgent Care clinics provide treatment for acute injuries and illnesses. With our convenient Powers location, you can walk in before work, or throughout the day. We have extended hours to help accommodate your busy schedule. Our trained medical providers are here to help you get to a healthy state as soon as possible. We take the time to ensure that you are properly evaluated, get an accurate diagnosis, and are presented a complete treatment plan for your unique situation. At UCHealth, our goal is to serve you as quickly as we can without compromising the high quality of care you have come to expect and deserve from us.

The role of urgent care

When you need to see a doctor and don’t have time to make an appointment, we’re here for you. Urgent care should be used for non-life threatening issues only. If you are experiencing chest pain or shortness of breath, please go to the nearest hospital emergency room or call 911.

Urgent care – minor injuries and illnesses

In general, if the illness or injury is something you’d normally see your family doctor for but you can’t get an appointment right away or it’s after hours, urgent care is the right choice.

  • Sprains and strains or possible broken bones
  • Jaqueca

  • Worker’s compensation injuries

Emergent care – severe injuries and illnesses

In general, if the illness or injury seems more critical than something you’d see your family doctor for, or if you need care during the middle of the night, go to the emergency center.

  • Head injuries, or sudden, very severe headache or loss of vision (could be a sign of a stroke)
  • Chest pain or other heart attack symptoms – call 911
  • Serious lacerations, severe bleeding, poisoning
  • Intoxication, overdose or attempted suicide
  • Dolor abdominal intenso
