Caring for your late preterm baby at MCR<\/h2>\n

We provide compassionate care and services to babies who are born prematurely.<\/p>\n

While your baby may look like a full term baby, your baby has special care needs. The\u00a0Special Care Nursery team\u00a0at MCR is specially trained to help you and your baby in those first days after birth.<\/p>\n

We recognize that you and your family are your baby’s main source of strength and support. Our philosophy of family-centered care nurtures those strong bonds between infants and their families that begin before birth. Our goal is to\u00a0partner with you to achieve the best possible outcomes for your baby.<\/p>\n

Our\u00a0SCN team\u00a0includes highly specialized physicians and nurses who are trained to care for late preterm infants. Babies born between 34 and 36 weeks often need help breathing, regulating their temperature and feeding. They can have problems with infection and jaundice as well.<\/p>\n

We have certified lactation counselors to help you with breastfeeding and many other specialists that can answer any questions about your baby’s care.<\/p>\n
