follow-up treatments as adults.<\/p>\n<p>The Adult Congenital Heart Disease program at UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital provides expert care to adults with congenital heart disease, whether their case is simple or complex.<\/p>\n<p>Our multidisciplinary program is staffed by specialists in numerous fields, including congenital heart surgeons, heart imaging specialists, electrophysiologists and more, and our congenital heart surgery program <a href=\"https:\/\/stage.uchealth.org\/locations\/uchealth-cardiac-and-vascular-center-anschutz\/#recognition\">has been recognized as one of the best in the nation<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"collaborative-care\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Collaborative care<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adults with congenital heart disease were once infants, children and adolescents with congenital heart disease. Many of our patients began treatments at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.childrenscolorado.org\/doctors-and-departments\/departments\/heart\/programs-and-clinics\/adult-congenital-heart-disease\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Children\u2019s Hospital Colorado<\/a>, and our doctors, who were specifically trained in adult congenital heart disease, care for patients at both University of Colorado Hospital as well as at Children\u2019s Hospital Colorado.
