This allows patients to get the information and care they need in the most timely fashion possible, and provides an opportunity to talk with all of their doctors in the same setting, a rare but important chance to become absolutely confident they are receiving the best possible treatment based on their individual situation and needs.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Multidisciplinary clinic<\/h2>\n<p>Being diagnosed with a brain or spinal tumor can be emotionally very difficult. Getting highly specialized and comprehensive care for such tumors used to require travel to \u201cbigger\u201d medical centers away from northern Colorado, and potentially out of state.<\/p>\n<p>At UCHealth\u2019s new cancer center in northern Colorado, a group of physicians and health care providers with a special interest in brain and spine tumors have come together to create the multidisciplinary brain and spine tumor clinic of northern Colorado.<\/p>\n<p>Patients are able to see all of the specialists that will be needed in their care during one convenient visit to our weekly multi-disciplinary clinic. This allows patients to get the information and care they need in the most timely fashion possible, and provides an opportunity to talk with all of their doctors in the same setting, a rare but important chance to become absolutely confident they are receiving the best possible treatment based on their individual situation and needs.<\/p>\n<h2>Conditions treated<\/h2>\n<p>This clinic will help patients with the following conditions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Malignant brain tumors (including glioma, metastases, and other)<\/li>\n<li>Benign brain tumors (including meningioma, pituitary adenoma, acoustic neuroma, and other)<\/li>\n<li>Malignant spine tumors (including metastases, plasmacytoma, sarcoma, and other)<\/li>\n<li>Benign spine tumors<\/li>\n<li>Functional disorders, such as trigeminal neuralgia and atypical facial pain<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Modalities offered<\/h2>\n<p>We provide highly specialized treatment options, customized for each patient\u2019s individual tumor and needs, while providing comprehensive support to the patient and their family.
