We are committed to providing our community with prompt, specialized trauma care.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>24\/7 availability of board-certified emergency physicians and trauma surgeons, and trauma-credentialed nurses.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Operating room capability with 4 OR suites.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Onsite physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>4-bed ICU with virtual capabilities.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Trauma case management.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>24\/7 lab, radiology, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and blood bank support.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nThe trauma program supports injury prevention and outreach activities for our community in northwestern Colorado and our referring facilities. The trauma program is involved in comprehensive performance improvement programs to ensure the most up to date evidence-based practices.\r\n\r\nYVMC is well integrated into the regional EMS system and partners with EMS for ongoing training and education. We provide medical direction oversight for all of Routt County Fire and EMS services, including Ski Patrol, and Search and Rescue.\n\n\n<h2 id=\"our-services\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our services<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a Level III Trauma center, we serve our local community through our ability to stabilize and manage the injured patient. The most critically injured patients may be transferred to a higher level trauma center or specialty care center, such as a pediatric or burn center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Trauma surgery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Orthopedics\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hand<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Total joint<\/li>\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/li>\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"injury-prevention-and-outreach\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Injury prevention and outreach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UCHealth\u00a0demonstrates community health leadership by\u00a0providing\u00a0and\u00a0participating\u00a0in a\u00a0broad range of local community health initiatives and programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Specifically, our injury prevention program provides education, training and safety equipment for community members of all ages to increase awareness and decrease the number of injuries and trauma-related deaths in our community.
