The driving philosophy for my career in medicine is what William Osler wrote; “A good physician treats the disease. A great physician treats the patient who has the disease.” I believe in caring for patients in a holistic manner by addressing not only medical ailments, but their ability to afford tests and treatments and by emphasizing the importance of a healthy balance between work, family, exercise, sleep … life in general.
¿Por qué UCHealth?
It is very evident that their mission statement revolves around patient care exactly how I believe patients should be cared for. UCHealth offered a platform to work with excellent providers not only in internal medicine but in various other specialties as well.
Why did you get into this profession?
I was initially trained as a chemical and biomedical engineer, but decided direct patient care was my calling. During my three year internal medicine residency, as well as during my fourth year chief resident year, I was fortunately exposed to excellent primary care and therefore I decided to become an outpatient internist. I look forward to enabling patients to live a good wholesome life and creating lifelong relationships with my patients.
