I like to treat each patient and their families with an individualized approach, based not only on the disease and clinical course, but also on personal beliefs and goals. It is important to maintain open communication between provider and patient/family with the hopes to achieve a better understanding of the science guiding the disease and our clinical decision making. Additionally, open communication amongst colleagues is of utmost importance, which if done consistently, can help maintain integrity of the patient/provider relationship and limit misunderstanding.
I grew up in upstate New York where I attended college and medical school. Following medical school I attended the University of Colorado for internal medicine residency where I met my wife. Following residency we spent time in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho before returning to complete fellowships at the University of California San Diego. We are both very much excited to settle in Colorado.
Outside of work my interests include collegiate athletics, professional hockey, skiing, tennis, hiking and travel.
