Dr. Phan is a board-certified general surgeon originally from Washington State. He completed surgical residency training in 2010 and went on to serve as a general surgeon for four years in the United States Air Force. He deployed three times to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, providing surgical care to American and Coalition service members. During this time, Dr. Phan also served at St. Louis University (SLU) Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He honed is trauma and surgical skills by caring for a wide range of patients from active-duty military members to inner city trauma victims. As an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Surgery at SLU, he had the privilege of training residents, fellows and medical students.
Joining Dr. Fusco in 2015, Dr. Phan is excited to serve the patients of the South Denver area. He enjoys putting patients at ease by carefully explaining their treatment options in a gentle and easy-to-understand manner. His clinical experience and interests range from hernia repairs to gastrointestinal, colon, and gallbladder disorders.
Dr. Phan and his wife love raising their four children here in Colorado. Together, they enjoy cooking, hiking, reading, or just sitting on their front porch sipping coffee in the morning sunshine.
