As a nurse practitioner I take pride in building relationships that are focused on patient-centered care and improving outcomes. Outcomes that I am specifically focused on are improving functional capacity and quality of life.
My care philosophy is focused on patient-centered care. It’s important to me that the patient has all the information necessary to make a mutually agreeable plan of care for all their health care needs. I believe giving patients the ability to participate in their care changes health behavior. Patients manage their individual health better. They are more aware of their symptoms, and they report these more accurately. I also believe that this allows the patient to build a trusting relationship with their nurse practitioner.
