As a former emergency medicine provider, I am well-equipped to care for people on their worst day and when they are feeling most vulnerable. I pride myself in practicing patient-centeredness, encompassing qualities of compassion, empathy and responsiveness to patients’ needs, values and preferences of my individual patients. My goal is to ensure patient values guide all clinical decisions. I want all my patients to feel comfortable with our care plans and feel as though I have treated them as I would a member of my own family.
I was born and raised in New York, just outside of NYC. I went to undergrad at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY and went on to complete my Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Pace University. I practiced Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West Hospitals for three years before making a shift into urgent care.
I love to travel, I have been all over the world, including but not limited to various countries in Europe, Thailand and Costa Rica. I have close ties with Cape Town, South Africa where I completed a six-week rotation during PA school. During that time I was able to provide acute care needs in both the ER and inpatient settings at Victoria Hospital, serving an underprivileged community who have limited access to health care. I have become incredibly close with my host mother and the two amazing women who ran my program and consider them family. I have also completed two mission trips to Mozambique, in East Africa, where I assisted in teaching an ultrasound course alongside my former colleagues at Mount Sinai, and have found this work to be incredibly rewarding.
I finally made my way to Denver, Colorado for a healthier, more active lifestyle and couldn’t be happier to call this place home! I enjoy yoga, hiking with my Aussie pup and skiing the beautiful mountains this place has to offer!
