Suffering from medical problems is stressful and adversely impacts many aspects of an individual’s life far beyond the physical complaints. Establishing a trusting relationship with the patient as we work together to improve their health is a key component to effective health care. Feeling comfortable with your physician and knowing they genuinely want to help you is one of the vital components to quality health care.
I have three daughters and two sons and rather enjoy being an “empty nester”. Enjoy outdoor activities such as skiing, surfing, scuba diving, mountain biking and most of all hiking with my Bernese Mountain Dog. Have an avid World War 2 historian with my father and uncles having served in the conflict and have an extensive library on the subject.

I have an interest in small bowel bacterial overgrowth as well as the impact of the intestinal microbiome on overall health and physiology. I perform endoscopic procedures such as upper endoscopies, colonoscopies, polypectomies, dilatations, and have been a witness to the remarkable advancements in endoscopic procedures over my 30 year career in gastroenterology. I take care of esophageal, gastric, intestinal, colonic, liver and pancreatic problems. Enjoy working in a collaborative manner with other physicians and providers to help solve complex clinical problems.
