UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center will soon begin construction on a new clinic space that will relocate five of its advanced specialty clinics into the same location.
The new 7,500-square-foot multispecialty clinic will be located in the hospital’s Outpatient Pavilion, located at 1100 Central Park Drive. It will offer 15 exam rooms and two procedure rooms, and will occupy the area under the existing UCHealth Jan Bishop Cancer Center. The space has remained unfinished since the cancer center opened in 2017.
“This space will serve as a hub for specialty care at Yampa Valley Medical Center,” said Dr. Laura Sehnert, chief medical officer. “We’re looking forward to the collaboration it will help facilitate between providers and the efficiencies it will bring for staff.”
The following clinics and providers will be located in the new space:
- Clínica de Endocrinología UCHealth
- Clínica Cardíaca y Vascular UCHealth
- Clínica de Neurología UCHealth
- Clínica de Manejo del Dolor UCHealth
- Dr. Sarah Gebauer
- Stacy Toye, PA-C
- Clínica de Reumatología UCHealth
The clinic will also welcome visiting providers in the following specialties:
- Clínica Cardíaca y Vascular UCHealth
- Dr. Steve Cummings, cardiac and thoracic surgery
- Dr. Mark Guadagnoli, cardiac and thoracic surgery
- Dr. Timothy Johnson, electrophysiology
- Dr. Robert Kiser, electrophysiology
- UCHealth Clínica Cardíaca y Vascular Pediátrica
- Dr. Michael DiMaria
- Clínica de Neumología UCHealth
“We’re fortunate to be able to offer these specialties, especially in a community of our size,” said Soniya Fidler, president of UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center. “When patients are able to receive care close to home, it has a positive impact on their health.”
Construction is anticipated to begin in early fall 2021, with the first specialty relocating in late spring 2022. Moves will be staggered to allow for transition time, and patients will receive updates prior to their appointments.
YVMC is working with Boulder Associates Architects for the design of the clinic, with Saunders Construction, Inc. chosen as the general contractor.
